The flat gate valve is a member of the large family of gate valves. Like the wedge gate valve, its main function is to control the on and off of the pipeline, not to adjust the flow of the medium in the pipeline. Its advantages are low fluid resistance, labor saving for opening and closing, short structure length, and no restriction on the flow direction of the pipeline medium. The disadvantage is that the sealing pair has two sealing surfaces, which are more complex to process and costly. Compared with other valves, it is taller and has a longer opening and closing time. The relative friction between the sealing surfaces during opening and closing can easily cause scratches.
2. Product structure characteristics
1. The valve seat adopts a sealing ring seal and a floating seat structure that applies pre-tightening force to make the valve inlet and outlet two-way sealed, and the opening and closing torque of this structure is only that of ordinary valves, which can easily open and close the valve.
2. The valve seat adopts stainless steel (or cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy) inlaid or surfacing on the sealing surface, which has a double seal of metal and metal to metal, and the sealing surface can remove the dirt of the gate at the same time.
3. For metal-to-metal sealed valves, there is a grease injection structure on the outside of the valve body. The grease enters the valve sealing surface through the grease injector and valve seat, so that the valve achieves zero leakage.
4. The gate of the valve with diversion hole, whether it is fully open or fully closed, is always consistent with the sealing surface, and the sealing surface is protected from direct erosion by the medium, thereby prolonging the service life.
5. When the valve is fully opened, the passage is smooth and straight, the flow resistance coefficient is very small, and there is no pressure loss. The pipeline can be cleaned by a hair ball.
6. This valve adopts a packing structure with self-sealing capability, no frequent adjustment is required, opening and closing are extremely light, and the sealing performance is reliable, the stuffing box is equipped with an auxiliary sealing grease injection structure, the sealing performance is absolutely reliable, and truly achieve zero leakage. The most prone to leakage of general valve packing is eliminated.
7. When the valve is closed, the high pressure in the inner cavity can be automatically removed to ensure safe use.
8. Fully enclosed structure, good protection performance, can adapt to all-weather requirements.
9. The valve is equipped with an indicator rod or observation window to indicate the opening and closing of the valve.
